Digital Lab Journal
CSA-101 §11.3. Sketch the circuit, annotate the diagram, caption the session, export as JSON or PNG for instructor review. Runs alongside every lab from Week 1 onward. CSA-101 catalog.
How this fits the academy lab pacing
Every CSA-101 + CSA-102 lab opens a new journal entry. Sketch the circuit you are building, annotate the part values,
caption what worked + what surprised you, and the entry autosaves into your browser as you go. Export the entry as
JSON (vector strokes; re-importable on any device) or PNG (single-image hand-in). The
instructor reads the same shapes. The journal is a working notebook, not a polished final document.
Use the pencil tool for sketches; the eraser for corrections; the text tool to label nodes (probe point A, expected voltage = 9 V, etc). Pick a chapter from the dropdown so the entry sorts into the right per-week stack later. Nothing leaves your machine until you click export.
